Keep Praying for Our Family & Friends in Haiti
Google has updated the satellite coverage over Haiti and now shows the aftermath of Tuesday's earthquake. I decided to create this map to assist friends/family & interested persons with a better understanding and perspective of what is located where.
For those not too well versed with Google map, you can click on a menu item in the left hand margin and it will take you to that location. You can use the +/- bar to zoom in and out. You can also grab the map by holding down on your mouse button and dragging the map whichever way you want. I've included some of the key locations being talked about on the news as well as some of the key Nazarene sites. You can zoom all the way in and see incredible detail on some locations.
Keep praying for our friends/family in Haiti. They desperately need God's intervention.
Love you,
Terry Ketchum

Catastrophic Earthquake Hits Haiti
A major earthquake measuring 7.0 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Haiti Tuesday evening at 5:53 EST. The initial quake lasted about a minute, followed by strong 5.9 and 5.5 aftershocks. The epicenter of Haiti’s earthquake was six miles west of Carrefour, just outside the capital city of Port-au-Prince . . .

Greetings WAPAC Prayer Partners,
Today is Thursday February 4, 2010.
*On Tuesday I was honored to attend the Memorial Service in Olympia Mountain View for J. C. Pults. J. C. was ordained in 1946 and served for several years until his retirement in 1985. J. C. was Pastor of three WAPAC congregations: Port Angeles (1953-57), Centralia (1958-64) and Bremerton (1965-79). In each of these locations he was responsible for at least one building program. Tributes were given by Ivan Lathrop, Ken Pults, J. C.’s nephew, and Terry Ketchum. Pastor Bill Bowers preached an excellent biblical message. It was an inspiring hour of worship and praise. When asked to stand, there were many WAPAC Pastors recognized. I was reminded again, “We are a TEAM!” You may wish to send remembrances: Mrs. J. C. (Ora Lee) Pults, 3921 Joanie Ln NW, Olympia, WA 98502

Personal Reflections of the WAPAC Journey:
While participating in the Memorial for J. C. Pults, I was reminded of how much the depth of friendship, fellowship and love pastors enjoy. I’m grateful for almost 50 years of being a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene. Saying an ‘earthly’ goodbye is always difficult, but we have an ‘eternal’ hope in Jesus who is the Resurrection and the Life. I recalled the numbers of pastors that have finished the race and received the crown while Miriam & I have walked among you. I will not name them, but they are near and dear to my heart. The Celebration of Life of J. C. touched me deeply as it represents family connections, but a rich network of Nazarene brothers and sisters that have gone before us, waiting for us, and ‘cheering’ us onward! Forward! Upward!

"I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content" (Philippians 4:11, NKJV).
In his book Money: A User’s Manual, Bob Russell describes a farmer who once grew discontent with his farm. He griped about the lake on the property always needing to be stocked and managed . . . And those fat cows lumbered through his pasture. All the fencing and feeding – what a headache! . . . He called a Realtor and made plans to list the farm. A few days later the agent phoned, wanting approval for the advertisement she intended to place in the local paper. She read the ad to the farmer. It described a lovely farm in an ideal location – quiet and peaceful, contoured with rolling hills, captured with soft meadows, nourished by a fresh lake, and blessed with well-bred livestock. The farmer said, “Read that ad to me again.” After hearing it a second time, he decided, “I’ve changed my mind. I’m not going to sell. I’ve been looking for a place like that all my life.” (from Grace For The Moment, Volume 2 by Max
Lucado)

CHURCH
OF THE DAY - RANDLE
Randle was organized in 1957 (Norman Lowrey, Pastor). Fred Frisbie (Tishia) has served as pastor of Randle since March 2008. Rejoice in 3 baptisms and 7 new Nazarenes this past year.
Straight ahead for Jesus!

"She had no desire to live," said the team member in Argentina. "The owner of the house where we showed the JESUS Film is an old lady who was bedridden and depressed. Her name is Eva. After ministering to her with the word of God, she gave her testimony and said before she had no desire to live but now she sat up in her wheelchair and began to move around. Her spirit is renewed."
Praise God for this team’s willingness to go to the home of the shut in to share Jesus.
