TEN PERCENT MISSION SPECIALS
Offerings designated as Approved Mission Specials by the Division of World Mission/Evangelism or by Division of US/Canada Mission/Evangelism count toward Ten Percent Giving. Such offerings are designated for specific mission projects.
The “Flood of Love” project is approved for Ten Percent Giving.
HOW DOES 10% GIVING WORK?
Formula: Base equals total paid for all purposes less the amount paid toward World Evangelism Fund and Approved Mission Specials. To be a ten percent church, the total amount given to WEF and other Approved Mission Specials must be equal to or greater than 10% of the total paid for all purposes.
Example: Total paid for all purposes = $100,000
WEF and other Approved Mission Specials = $15,000
Amount required to be a 10% church = $100,000 x .10 = $10,000
The church gave $15,000 which is greater than $10,000 therefore it is a 10% church.
Example: Total paid for all purposes = $100,000
WEF and other Approved Mission Specials = $9,500
Amount required to be a 10% church = $100,000 x .10 = $10,000
The church gave $9,500 which is less than $10,000 therefore it is not a 10% church.
HOW TO PROCEED FOR “FLOOD OF LOVE” TEN PERCENT GIVING
- Download the 10% Point-to-Point form here. (See below for free Adobe Reader.)
- Print and complete the form. Write “WAPAC Flood of Love” in the space marked “Name of Receiving Ministry”.
- Mail completed form to Debra Voelker for authorized signature at P.O. Box 159 Kirkland, WA 98083. Debra will mail the form to the General Treasurer.
- Make check out to NMI and send to Marian Smith at 700 NW Crosby Ave., No 180, Oak Harbor, WA 98277. Indicate “Flood of Love” for appropriate distribution.
