Following the major Lewis county flood of December 2007, recovery assistance is urgently needed for families in the greater Centralia-Chehalis area.
WAPAC District NMI is working alongside Rick Ryding (Centralia pastor), Bob Duke (Centralia member and project coordinator), and our Centralia church people in answering the call.
Families need your help so they can move back into their homes. Numerous tasks await volunteer workers from your church. The top three priorities for all these projects are prayer, muscle, and financial assistance.

Here's what you can do to assist:
Send workers. Due to the nature of the recovery assistance, a limited number of workers will be accepted for each project. Contact Debra Voelker for information and scheduling. The pastor, or designated team coordinator, will receive access to an on-line sign-up questionnaire to be completed and submitted so a coordinated effort will be possible.
Provide financial assistance. You may purchase cash cards from Home Depot to donate to the project. Cards should be purchased only from Home Depot and in $25 or $50 amounts to facilitate local purchases. Indicate on the on-line sign-up questionnaire the cash card amount you will be donating to the project.
If "Ten Percent Giving" is desired, please make your check payable to NMI and indicate "Flood of Love" on the memo line for appropriate distribution. Mail your donations to NMI president Debra Voelker at 13927 94th Ave. N.E., Kirkland, WA 98034.
"Flood of Love" is a 10% approved special. Click here for information and instructions for Ten Percent Giving.
