Randle Church of the Nazarene celebrated its 50th anniversary on Sunday, September 9, 2007. The congregation was blessed with visits from many old friends.
In addition to the participation of Interim Pastor Bob Mead and District Superintendent Hugh Smith, three former Randle pastors took part in the service, Matt Williamson (2006-2007), Art Williamson (1989-1990) and Bob Russell (1983-1989). Terry Mattson, his wife Joetta, along with his mother and sister were also present to represent his father Virgil who pastored Randle from 1969 to 1974.
We were privileged to have one of the church founders, Dr. James Springer, in attendance. The celebration began Saturday evening with an old fashioned Sing-Along led by Art Williamson. Bob Russell preached a meaningful and uplifting message Sunday morning. The service was followed by a fellowship dinner provided by the Randle church.
