MARCH NEWS
Bonney Lake: 16 person choir performed the Cantata "Then Came the Morning" God truly blessed them and the audience for a great Easter Sunday.
Camas: We are so excited about beginning our Love and Respect Marriage Seminar on Wednesday evening. We are actually averaging more on these nights than in our Sunday School on Sunday and have many people from the community attending. Their children are attending Wednesday evening classes and we are planning to follow up with each family. This program will continue through April. Easter was a blessed event at Camas Nazarene. Over 150 people joined us for a wonderful breakfast and we had 184 in our Easter service. The choir presented the cantata "There is Room at the Cross for You." We followed with the Northwest version of an Easter Egg Hunt (indoors due to rain!) for about 40 children. It was a terrific way to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord!
Federal Way: We had 290 children register and attend our annual EGGstravaganza Easter Egg Outreach! From these we had 41 families state that they would like to learn more about our Church and its ministries and or would like to learn more about Jesus Christ! Yea God! We are following up with all that indicated interest with letters, calls and visits with the prayer that many will begin the journey of faith, salvation and a new life of radical discipleship to Jesus Christ!
Gold Creek and Lynnwood: These two churches celebrated over 70 baptisms on Easter Sunday.
Highland Park: The two Highland Park churches (American & Hispanic) joined together for a combined worship service yesterday. It was an amazing morning of celebration through worship, baptisms, and God’s word. We followed the service with a tasty potluck.
Kent First: Attendance 458 Christ is on the Throne at Kent Nazarene!
Lakewood New Hope: On Wednesday of Passion Week, Rachel Goldstein of Chosen People Ministries presented the “Messiah in the Passover”, explaining the symbolism of each item used in the Jewish Seder dinner and its significance in the Christian world. On Good Friday, we again presented the Living Lord’s Supper, narrated by Pastor Ron. We had an Easter Egg hunting the back yard for the neighborhood children on Saturday. Besides the candies that they received in the Easter eggs, each child went away with a large Easter basket filled with candies and gifts. Then on Easter Sunday, we had a great service, where the SS attendance was 90 and the AM Worship attendance was 204.
Lakewood Samoan: There is no big difference in numbers, but just want to add the praise on Easter Sunday, was a great day of praise and worship, and one soul accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Praise God!!
Maple Valley: Their new Pastor, Charlie Cox, reported a great Easter Sunday, with the anointing of God - 64 in attendance.
Port Orchard: We hosted a Quarterly Regional Worship service that included 4 churches on the Peninsula and partnered with two other churches for a 3 day Worship Conference that raised money for an orphanage in India. Our people continue to let God transform them individually, and the corporate body is being blessed with an amazing outpouring of God’s heart because of it.
Seattle Aurora: We had 650 in attendance. We baptized 6.
Stevenson: New Name “The Bridge.” I am happy to report that Easter Sunday was a huge success. We really saw God at work as we had 110 people at our first preview service. What a blessing. The feedback has been extremely positive. We are sure God's presence was felt as we came together and worshiped. There were so many new faces in the crowd and that was the most pleasing thing of all. The kids had a blast in our children's program and we are excited to see what He does for our second preview service scheduled for April 20th. Thanks and keep praying for us, Chad
Tacoma First: We started off the month with a Dirty Job’s Sunday as we took Jesus’ message from John 13 to be servants of one another literally. Twenty-five of us when out and picked-up about 10 bags of garbage from along the streets of our immediate neighborhood, and raked over 20 bags of leaves from one city block alone. Many from the neighborhood were surprised and appreciative that we would do such an act of service and love to their neighborhood. Then, what an amazing weekend Easter was! We held our 3rd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at Whitman School, just two blocks from our church. We had close to 6,000 eggs for the 100-125 children to gather. Talk about disappearing fast!! Then on Easter Sunday, we were praying for 125 to be in attendance, and God blessed us with 175!!! Just as importantly, we had over twenty stand to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior, and now have five of them involved in a new Christian’s class that began on March 30th. PTL!!
Vancouver Fourth Plain: Off to a great start with two new part time staffers. Ryon Wright is our new Youth Pastor and he is already growing a new group of young people. They had a great time in Puyallup last week. Paula Johnson is the new Children’s Pastor and kicked off her minister with over 50 kids at the Easter Egg hunt. Church is gearing up for a great summer. Had a tremendous Easter service with music minister Ken Riggan.
